Eel Flat

On a small street set back from the road is a large, collapsing house just called Eel Flat. Three stories, though only two show above ground. Only Gents are allowed on the top floor. It holds the Gent's Club, a rather exclusive place run by Tuppance and his gang of 'Gentlemen'. They aspire to high living and fancy ways, but most days a sit-down and a good smoke of their pipes is all these fellows need. All boys, and all of them thieves and ner-do-wells of some sort, the Gents enjoy a pint-sized version of the life of any common street gang, with added delusions of sophistication. They make deals, eke out what little living they can, spend money as it comes to them, and take care of one another. The feeling of camaraderie and companionship this gives them often - not always - but often enough drowns out the sound of unfed tummies and the creak of the old house settling farther into ruin.
